Defender Media delivers 10 P1-SUN interceptor drones to Ukraine’s 1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment
More than 600 people supported our fundraiser. Defender Media thanks everyone who contributed

This spring, the Defender Media team launched a fundraiser to provide interceptor drones for Ukraine’s 1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment (1020 AAMAR), a unit that protects the skies over Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine.
Our goal was to raise funds for 10 SkyFall P1-SUN interceptor drones. These systems are designed to destroy enemy UAVs, primarily Shahed-type loitering munitions.
To support the campaign, our editorial team published several stories about interceptor drones and the crews operating them. Among them was an interview with 1020 AAMAR’s record-setting pilot, callsign “Miguel”, who shot down 24 Shahed drones in a single night in September 2025.
Miguel’s achievements have continued. Between February and March, he destroyed more than 350 aerial targets and recently received the title of Hero of Ukraine.
Back in May, with the support of interceptor drone manufacturer SkyFall, we successfully completed the fundraiser. It then took some time to complete all the necessary procedures and prepare the drones for delivery.
At the end of July, we delivered all 10 P1-SUN interceptor drones to the unit. They have already joined the arsenal of the 1020th Regiment and are helping defend Ukraine’s skies.
In total, more than 600 people contributed to the fundraiser. The largest single donation amounted to UAH 30,000.
The Defender Media editorial team sincerely thanks everyone who supported this campaign. We would also like to express our gratitude to SkyFall for providing the P1-SUN interceptor drones.
