The Ratel H robotic system with an FPV drone launch platform has successfully completed obstacle course testing. The corresponding video was posted by Ratel Robotics CEO Taras Ostapchuk.
The tests assessed the system’s mobility on difficult terrain, including its ability to move up and down steep slopes. According to Ostapchuk, the Ratel H negotiated climbs, off-road terrain and a challenging section of the route.
The tests also assessed the system’s components operating at maximum power. Following the tests, the platform was deemed ready for combat operations.
The Ratel H launch platform module was first reported in February this year. The platform can carry up to four FPV drones of different sizes with fibre-optic control, allowing them to be launched from dangerous and remote areas. The UGV also acts as a signal relay, meaning no personnel are required at the launch position.
