Sky Defenders UAVs are to be integrated into Katran naval drones
Sky Defenders has developed a mid-strike attack drone that flies more than 150 km and carries a warhead weighing 3–5 kg

MAC HUB Holding and Sky Defenders have signed a memorandum of cooperation and plan to integrate aerial drones into the Katran family of naval drones. The manufacturers disclosed this to Defender Media.
Sky Defenders has developed several UAV models for offensive and defensive operations: the Vyryi kamikaze drone and the Yaryi and Zigzag interceptors. The manufacturer adds that its products have been used in combat conditions for almost two years.
The press release also mentions the drone with the widest configuration – the Zigzag-S, a fixed-wing mid-strike attack drone. It flies more than 150 km at speeds of up to 250 km/h and carries a warhead weighing 3–5 kg.
‘We already have targets, and now we will be reaching the enemy at a distance of 2,000 km. Our plans include strikes on coastal guard units, the destruction of Russian radar systems, their air defence systems, command personnel and critical infrastructure’, says Ninth, a special forces serviceman who oversees MAC HUB projects from the end-user’s perspective.
MAC HUB says that qualitative growth is impossible within a closed system, which is why it enters into memorandums of cooperation with other manufacturers. In June, Defender wrote about the partnership between the company and Paramount Greece.
The company, with its Katran USV, is among the largest manufacturers of naval drones. Mykhailo Fedorov revealed details about this USV in March 2025.
Katran can be equipped with torpedoes, a minigun, a machine gun, a MANPADS and other weapons. In particular, it can be fitted with Dead Fly interceptor drones, developed by the same company. Accordingly, the USV is suitable for destroying naval, ground and aerial targets, as well as for reconnaissance.
