€300,000–€500,000 grants: five Ukrainian deftech and dual-use startups secure funding from the European Innovation Council
Among the recipients are Farsight Vision, Mantis Analytics, Osavul, UADamage, and Sensorama

The European Commission, together with the European Innovation Council, has allocated €20 million to support Ukrainian deep tech startups. In total, 41 domestic projects received grants ranging from €300,000 to €500,000, along with fast-track access to the EIC Accelerator. Defender Media identified five deftech and dual-use companies among the winners.
Mantis Analytics has received €500,000. The startup operates in the field of artificial intelligence for managing physical and information risks. The team is developing a situational awareness platform, and the funds will go toward deploying it for the corporate and government sectors in Europe, CEO Maksym Tereshchenko wrote.
Also among the winners is Farsight Vision, a Ukrainian-Estonian defence startup. The company’s products enable the real-time conversion of drone photos and videos into detailed 3D models and orthophotographic maps. Its solutions are integrated with combat management systems, mobile applications, simulators, and VR tools. In February 2026, the startup closed a seed investment round of €7.2 million.
Grants were also awarded to:
- Osavul, which has already raised over $4 million in investment. The startup offers governments and businesses AI solutions based on OSINT to detect disinformation and hostile information campaigns.
- UADamage – its product uses AI to produce 3D reconstructions of objects from visual data, detect mines using drone footage, and analyse satellite imagery.
- Sensorama – the company develops VR applications, including the Drone XR simulator, which helps users practise drone assembly skills.
