Norda Dynamics announces partnership with American company Palladyne AI

Ukrainian-Estonian company Norda Dynamics has partnered with US developer Palladyne AI. As part of the cooperation, the Ukrainian company will integrate the American drone swarm control software SwarmOS into its Underdog terminal guidance system.

The developers report that the technologies of both companies complement each other: SwarmOS allows several drones to autonomously detect and track targets, while Underdog takes over the final stage – pursuit and destruction. At the same time, the operator retains control of the decision to attack.

The same scenario can be extended to air defence – the systems can locate and hit enemy drones using several drones at once.

The swarm technology is planned to be integrated into one or several unmanned platforms, with a combined system to be demonstrated at a later stage. However, to do so, the companies must obtain the necessary permits from the US government.

Norda’s terminal guidance system is used by more than 200 units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The company states that its latest update has provided 93% task performance efficiency. Last year, Norda was included in the Top 100 Rising Ukrainian Startups 2026 list, and this year it partnered with another swarm technology developer – Swarmer.

Palladyne AI, for its part, develops AI-based software for robot control, as well as its own kamikaze drones and bombers. In June, the company received a contract from the US Army to develop and test SwarmOS and the Gremlin-X strike drone.
