Denmark to hold first-ever Danish Defense Tech Week in four cities: what to expect
The programme will bring together Danish and European defence innovators with Ukrainian companies and military expertise

Denmark will host its first Danish Defense Tech Week on 5–12 November 2026. Events will take place in Copenhagen, Aalborg, Aarhus, and Odense, bringing together Denmark’s defence tech community with Ukrainian military and industry experts. Defender Media is a media partner of the event.
The week is organised by Defense Innovation Highway and the European Defense Tech Hub. It will bring together engineers, defence companies, military professionals, investors, researchers and policymakers.
The programme will focus on technologies that can move quickly from development to operational use. By bringing several events together in one week, the organisers want to make it easier for teams to exchange feedback, start joint projects and build partnerships across Denmark, the Nordic countries, Ukraine and the rest of Europe.
Key topics include electronic warfare, artificial intelligence and autonomy, and next-generation unmanned aerial systems.
Sovereign Compute Summit
The week will begin on 5 November with the Sovereign Compute Summit at the Technical University of Denmark’s DTU Lyngby campus.
Led by the European Defense Tech Hub, the summit will focus on sovereign computing capabilities and their role in strengthening Europe’s technological and security infrastructure.

European Defense Tech Hackathon
From 6 to 8 November, DTU Lyngby will host the European Defense Tech Hackathon, also led by the European Defense Tech Hub.
The format will bring builders together to work on defence technology challenges and develop solutions with potential operational relevance.

Defence tech meetups across Denmark
From 9 to 12 November, Defense Innovation Highway will organise a series of defence tech meetups in Aalborg, Aarhus, Odense and Copenhagen.
The events will be hosted together with Startup Aarhus, Business Aalborg, the National Center for Defence Robotics and Autonomy, and the National Defence Technology Centre. The programme will focus on electronic warfare, AI and autonomy, and next-generation UAS technologies.

The week will also include smaller invitation-only sessions for Danish and European representatives from industry, research and government, as well as Ukrainian defence companies and military experts.
Danish Defense Tech Week will focus on direct cooperation between the people developing, funding and using defence technologies. The organisers want Denmark to become a meeting point for developers, military users, investors, industry and government working on the future of European security.
