Lantronix’s Qualcomm-powered embedded computing solutions will be integrated into DoD Solution’s AURA SBC onboard computer

Estonian-Ukrainian defence tech company DoD Solution, which develops onboard computers and autonomy systems for unmanned platforms, has announced a strategic partnership with US-based Lantronix. The companies announced the cooperation in a joint press release.

Under the partnership, Lantronix’s Qualcomm-powered embedded computing solutions will be integrated into DoD Solution’s AURA SBC onboard computer. According to the companies, this will create a scalable foundation for next-generation autonomous defence systems.

The AURA SBC onboard computer is part of DoD Solution’s AURA AI platform. When combined with the company’s proprietary software, it enables autonomous navigation, target recognition and tracking, and terminal guidance in GPS-denied and communications-constrained environments.

According to the joint statement, the engineering teams have already completed the platform integration and are preparing to begin production. The programme will be scaled further in line with market demand.

Lantronix is a global provider of Edge AI and Industrial IoT solutions for unmanned systems, critical infrastructure, and mission-critical enterprise networks. The company’s shares are listed on the NASDAQ, and its market capitalisation exceeded $230 million as of 29 July.

DoD Solution says integrating the Lantronix Open-Q 6490CS, powered by Qualcomm, into the AURA SBC will accelerate the transition from platform development to large-scale deployment in unmanned systems.

“This integration equips the AURA SBC with SWaP-optimised onboard computing capabilities, supporting the deployment of AURA AI in FPV drones, fixed-wing UAVs, and interceptor systems,” the press release states.

The company’s flagship product, AURA AI, combines proprietary software with the AURA SBC onboard computer to provide autonomous navigation, perception, target recognition and tracking, as well as terminal guidance in GPS-denied, contested, and communications-constrained environments.
