Ukrainian company WinFly has announced the first combat shoot-down of a Russian Shahed-136 using its Nexis interceptor drone. In March, the system intercepted its first Gerbers, the company disclosed to Defender Media. Its other drones are also bringing down Lancets and Molniyas.

The first batches of Nexis appeared in January 2026. Its maximum speed is up to 270 km/h, maximum altitude is 5 km, and range is up to 30 km. The warhead payload capacity is up to 600 g. The system comprises the drone itself and a universal ground control station.

The base version of the interceptor is priced at approximately €1,100. The developers are currently working on a target detection system and have announced autonomous interception capability in the future.

In addition to Nexis, the company produces the Hunter and Vartovyi Maloho Neba (Guardian of the Low Sky) copter interceptors. The lineup also includes kamikaze drones designed to strike ground targets. In total, WinFly drones have destroyed 844 targets. Its UAVs are operated by 28 units, including the Achilles strike UAV company, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Kraken special unit.
