The UAV has a tactical operating radius of up to 15 km and can remain airborne for up to 45 minutes

Ukrainian company Ratel Robotics has unveiled the Ratel R1 (RECON) reconnaissance UAV. The drone has a tactical operating radius of up to 15 km and a maximum flight range of up to 30 km.
The Ratel R1 has a cruising speed of 50 km/h and a maximum speed of 70 km/h. It can remain airborne for up to 45 minutes and has a payload capacity of up to 2 kg. The drone is built on a 22-inch frame.
The UAV is equipped with a digital video transmission system and a low-light camera with 30x zoom. The camera has a 360° field of view and provides HD imaging at a distance of up to 3,000 metres.
The Ratel R1 uses satellite communications for control and data transmission. According to the specifications listed on the state-run Brave1 marketplace, the drone has no built-in navigation systems or inertial sensors. At the same time, it is equipped with an automatic landing system with return-to-home capability.
In August, Ratel Robotics also unveiled its first Ratel K1 kamikaze strike drone, built on a 22-inch frame.
Defender Media previously reported on the creation of Ratel Drones unmanned systems division. At the time, the company presented the UGV carrier for drones and announced that it was developing its own UAVs.
