Airlogix and Auterion have launched drone production in Germany. The first contract is worth $348m

Ukrainian UAV manufacturer Airlogix and American-German company Auterion have launched drone production in Germany. The first UAVs have already been assembled at the joint venture in Bavaria, German news agency DPA reports.

The joint drone production was announced earlier this year. It is focused on the Anubis and Seth-X strike UAVs, which use Auterion’s artificial intelligence software.

According to DPA, the companies plan to produce more than five thousand drones. The German government order is to be fulfilled by mid-2027. The contract is worth around $348 million (€300 million).

The products will be supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but in the future Berlin and Kyiv will be able to receive them from a single production line.

The companies are also expecting further orders and have already planned to scale up. In addition to Bavaria, they want to deploy production in another location in eastern Germany.

Seth-X is a strike drone with a tactical range of up to 100 km. It is designed to hit radar stations, EW equipment, lightly armoured vehicles, and infantry in trenches. Anubis, meanwhile, is a more expensive operational-tactical-level drone with an enlarged warhead, enabling it to strike enemy depots and buildings.

Last month, it also became known that Airlogix wants to produce drones in Finland jointly with the local company Innokas. They have signed a letter of intent and are now working on a cooperation model.
