New broadband station for command posts, mobile firing groups, and UGV control

The station ensures reliable communications even without LTE and satellite systems

A Ukrainian miltech company has developed the R-2200 broadband station – a modern digital radio communications system designed to ensure stable data transmission in complex operational conditions where network reliability is critical. One of the station’s key advantages is its ability to maintain reliable communications even when LTE and satellite systems are limited or unavailable.

The R-2200 is designed to provide digital broadband communications and wireless subscriber access in fixed and field communications systems of military and civilian purpose, operating in the frequency range 2202–2602 MHz. The station enables communications at distances of at least 10 km in direct line of sight and supports integration into the subscriber’s local area network through an Ethernet data interface, wireless 802.11 “Wi-Fi” interface, and relay/mesh mode support at speeds of up to 54 Mbps (mesh) and up to 100 Mbps (P2P).

Application scope

The R-2200 is used to establish a self-organizing and self-healing communications and data transmission network, which increases the agility of remote users of mobile command posts, fire control systems (complexes), and reconnaissance assets.

The R-2200 has successfully completed field trials in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Supply variants

Broadband station R-2200 – fixed configuration, designed to operate as a node in the frequency range 2202–2602 MHz with the capability of being powered from an AC mains supply of 220V.

Broadband station R-2200-01 – mobile configuration of the R-2200, designed to operate as a node in the frequency range 2202–2602 MHz with the capability of being powered from an onboard power network of 12/24V.

Both modifications are codified and have NATO nomenclature numbers (NSN).
