Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence, together with the Brave1 cluster, has tested a new generation of strike FPV drones from eight Ukrainian manufacturers at a training ground. The announcement was made by Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who noted that Serhii Sternenko, an advisor on UAV effectiveness, is also involved in developing this FPV segment.

During the trials, the drones covered distances of up to 25 km and successfully struck targets while operating under various types of electronic warfare (EW). Some of the solutions completed all assigned tasks in conditions максимально close to real combat.

Fedorov said the ministry is developing separate testing methodologies for each class of UAV. All manufacturers whose systems have not yet been contracted by the state are invited to participate. If a drone proves effective in combat conditions, the procurement and scaling process is launched immediately. The minister noted that the new FPV type was tested under this model.

In early April, the Sternenko Community charity foundation announced that, together with Ukrainian manufacturers, it had developed a new breakthrough FPV drone technology. At the same time, Serhii Sternenko launched a UAH 100 million fundraiser, intended to finance more than 3,600 such drones, 30 relay systems, and 30 carrier platforms for 20 Defence Forces units.

The fundraiser was completed within a week. Sternenko has repeatedly stated that the innovative FPVs are already operating successfully on the battlefield and inflicting losses on the enemy.

“We are not stopping. We will continue to scale this project both within the foundation and in parallel at the state level,” he stressed.
