The developer and manufacturer of Chaklun drones has unveiled a long-range strike UAV
The company’s flagship product remains the Chaklun drone, available in several versions

A defence company from Dnipro, known for producing reconnaissance and strike drones under the name Chaklun, has developed its own deep strike UAV. The new system was first revealed in a Deutsche Welle report.
The specifications of the long-range UAV have not yet been disclosed. Little is known about the company itself. Before the full-scale invasion, the company’s founder worked as a lawyer and flew radio-controlled model aircraft in his free time.
In 2022, the team consisted of just five people — today, it has grown to 170. Over the past year, the company has produced around 1,200 drones. The vast majority of them were the project’s flagship product, the Chaklun UAV. Depending on the modification, it can be used for reconnaissance, long-range payload delivery, or precision strikes. The Chaklun is capable of flying without radio communication, following a pre-programmed route.
In February, three drone variants were presented at the international exhibition for general security and armaments IDEX 2025, held in the UAE:
- “Chaklun” — a small tactical reconnaissance UAV used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine for aerial reconnaissance and artillery adjustment.
- “Chaklun-M” — an aircraft-type fighter with automatic targeting functionality, employed to destroy low-speed enemy reconnaissance drones.
- “Chaklun-K(A)” — a kamikaze drone equipped with a target fixation and tracking system, designed to destroy static ground targets.

The company says that all of its drones have been officially adopted and are actively used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces along key frontlines.
Earlier, Defender Media reported that the government had updated procurement rules for drones and electronic warfare systems.
