Ukrainian company has developed a jet-powered interceptor drone that reaches speeds of over 600 km/h

One of the Ukrainian defence tech companies has developed a jet-powered interceptor drone capable of accelerating to 600 km/h. This was reported by former defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who showed a video from production.

According to him, the development is currently undergoing combat testing. ‘We expect results and the first confirmed kills’, the post says.

As of today, several teams are working on jet interceptors. In particular, Defender wrote about the Griffen drone by Firebolt Engineering.

According to Fedorov, the goal of such interceptors is to combat jet-powered Russian drones. This is because the enemy is gradually replacing conventional drones with jet-powered ones.

To date, the piston-engine Shahed has received three turbojet modifications, which have higher speed and have already attacked Ukraine. In addition to these, the Russians are using the Banderol – a missile-drone with a jet engine.
