General Cherry has unveiled its first reconnaissance drone called Sweetheart

Sweetheart has a range of up to 150 km, a flight endurance of up to three hours, and an operational altitude of 300–900 m. The manufacturer adds that at altitudes of 50–70 metres, the drone is virtually inaudible from the ground.

The UAV is hand-launched and weighs 4 kg with a wingspan of 1.7 m. It is equipped with a digital video link, a controllable zoom camera, and a laser rangefinder. The communications system has been made resistant to enemy jamming.

Sweetheart is currently undergoing combat trials. The manufacturer expects serial deliveries to begin in autumn 2026.

Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has repeatedly said during meetings with journalists that one of the key requirements for Ukrainian drone manufacturers is the ability to produce reconnaissance drones that are both affordable and available at scale. This view is shared by most military personnel interviewed by Defender Media reporters at industry events.

Recently, Defender Media also reported that General Cherry unveiled Khmarynka, an affordable fixed-wing kamikaze drone.
