The UFDS Military combat drone operator training simulator now features digital twins of the Ukrainian P1-SUN and Bullet counter-UAS interceptors, developed by SkyFall and General Cherry, respectively. The integration has been live since 18 August, the developers announced.

P1-SUN and Bullet are the initial operational Ukrainian interceptors integrated into UFDS Military. Service members can utilise their digital models to practice flight control, target acquisition, pursuit, and interception manoeuvres against aerial threats.

The integration enables operators to refine engagement procedures against aerial targets, including reconnaissance UAVs, strike drones, and Russian Shahed-type loitering munitions. Exercises can be executed repeatedly, allowing crews to master precision handling without expending live hardware.

UFDS notes that embedding real-world Ukrainian platforms aligns simulator-based instruction with actual combat employment. It also offers operators hands-on familiarisation with diverse native UAV configurations prior to fielding physical aircraft.

The UFDS development team announced plans to integrate additional operational Ukrainian drones into the training suite, providing manufacturers with a virtual testbed to demonstrate their unmanned platforms.

Defender Media previously delivered 10 P1-SUN counter-UAS interceptors to service members of the 1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment protecting the airspace over Kyiv Oblast.
