Ukrainian deftech manufacturer Strix Air has begun serial production of the Air Baby interceptor drone. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already using this interceptor to destroy Russian Shahed drones, the company announced.

According to Strix Air, its interceptor is 30% cheaper than comparable systems. Its price on the Brave1 marketplace is 36,000 UAH with a daytime camera and 58,000 UAH with a thermal imaging camera. The drone is already available for direct contracting by military units and can also be purchased on the Brave1 marketplace using ePoints.

The interceptor’s maximum speed is 280 km/h, with an operational ceiling of up to 5 km. It can carry a 500 g warhead, with a maximum flight endurance of 15 minutes under combat load.

In addition to the Air Baby, the company’s product line includes bombers, a 10-inch FPV drone, a fibre-optic FPV drone, and an FPV drone capable of engaging targets at a range of 50 km. In January, the manufacturer announced a modernisation programme for FPV drones serving frontline combat units. Strix Air also produces a platform for drone radio control and video transmission in high-jamming environments.
