Frontline Robotics unveiled its new bomber drone Linza 3.0

Ukrainian defence technology company Frontline Robotics has unveiled its new bomber drone Linza 3.0 (Lens). It will be the first UAV to be manufactured by the Ukrainian-German company Quantum Frontline Industries. The manufacturer shared the drone’s specs with Defender Media.

Linza 3.0 has a 12-inch frame. The drone can carry up to 4 kg of payload, with a maximum tactical range of 15 km and an endurance of up to 60 minutes. It is equipped with an AI-enabled visual-inertial navigation module developed by Frontline Robotics. The system enables stable hovering over a target at altitudes of up to 200 meters, improved landing stabilisation, and visualisation of the completed flight route on the map in Loiter mode.

The drone is available in both day and night configurations. The daytime version is equipped with a gyro-stabilised daylight camera with a resolution of 1280×720 and 6× digital zoom. The night version features a gyro-stabilised thermal imager with a 640×512 resolution and a 30 Hz frame rate.

The manufacturer has also integrated an encrypted, frequency-hopping control communication system. The drone also has a one-way, EW-resistant digital video transmission system.

The drone can inflict damage, carry a repeater, conduct reconnaissance and mining, and be used for logistics. Along with the Linza, the complex includes a ground control station.

Frontline presented the first version of the Linza drone in 2024. The first- and second-generation drones are currently in service with more than 60 units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The company says that version 3.0 is the result of systematic work with feedback from the military.

In December, the company also updated its Buria turret to version 2.0. It received a universal mounting system that allows either the Mk 19 / RDS40 / AGL 53 grenade launcher or the Browning M2 machine gun to be installed. The turret is also equipped with electric trigger systems for each type of weapon, enabling remote control.
