Unwave’s Stepovyi Viter mid-strike drone passes codification: what we know about this UAV

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has codified the Stepovyi Viter UAS, developed by Ukrainian company Unwave together with its partners at Sky Composite Engineering.

Stepovyi Viter belongs to the mid-strike class and is designed to strike stationary targets, armoured vehicles and personnel deployment sites. The system has a tactical radius of up to 70 km, a maximum flight range of more than 90 km, and an endurance of up to 65 minutes.

The UAV can carry up to 5 kg of payload, features an optical terminal guidance system, and supports automatic, semi-automatic and manual control modes.
