The Magura UAV has been upgraded for aerial reconnaissance: key changes
Key upgrades include beacon-based navigation that works without GNSS and a higher-capacity battery

The manufacturer of the Ukrainian Magura UAV, designed for aerial photo reconnaissance, has upgraded the drone, the company told Defender Media.
The drone is currently undergoing codification, but it is already available to order on the state marketplace Brave1 Market. According to the manufacturer, the updated version has already been used successfully in combat zones.
Key upgrades include beacon-based navigation that works without global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and a higher-capacity battery. Mahura also gets a more powerful control link and updated mission-planning software, and can now be launched remotely from a pneumatic catapult.

According to Brave1 Market, the Magura is equipped with a daylight mapping camera and has an effective imaging range of up to 400 metres. The UAV can remain airborne for up to three hours, cover distances of up to 300 km and maintain a communications range of up to 70 km.
Brave1 Market lists the UAV at UAH 116,000. According to the manufacturer, this is one of the lowest prices on the market for fixed-wing aerial mapping drones with similar specifications.
