A Ukrainian manufacturer has unveiled the universal naval platform MOBIDIK, available in six variants. The USV’s first public appearance took place during the DIH Naval Forge 2026 conference, Militarnyi reports.

According to the head of the manufacturing company, all six configurations of the unmanned system have already undergone testing and are currently in operational use. The manufacturer has disclosed only basic technical specifications and has not revealed the price, noting that more public information is expected to be released following the completion of combat missions.

What is known about the universal platform

MOBIDIK provides up to 120 hours of autonomous operation, reaches a maximum speed of 35 knots (around 65 km/h), and boasts an operational range of up to 750 nautical miles (1,400 km). The drone can operate in sea states with wave heights up to 1.2 metres and wind forces up to 6 on the Beaufort scale. The platform utilises multiple communication channels, is equipped with an autopilot featuring a return-to-base function, and carries a dual-camera setup.

Depending on mission requirements, the platform can be configured to deploy various types of weaponry.

The project has recently transitioned out of the R&D stage and is currently preparing for official codification.

MOBIDIK variants

During the conference, the manufacturer presented six variants of the platform tailored for air defence, patrolling, and counter-drone interception missions. The technical characteristics of individual versions vary based on their operational purpose.

The MD-1 and MD-2 variants retain the standard operational range and can carry either five fixed-wing interceptors or eight vertical-takeoff-and-landing (VTOL) Octopus drones.

The MD-3 and MD-5 strike variants feature an operational range of up to 600 nautical miles. They are capable of carrying proprietary MORRIGAN strike drones, as well as R-73 or AIM-9 missiles, or their equivalents. The MD-5 is additionally equipped with an automated remote weapon station fitted with a 12.7 mm Browning heavy machine gun to engage aerial and surface targets.

The MD-4 configuration boasts the longest range—up to 800 nautical miles—and is designed to deploy a strategic-range missile-drone for strikes against land-based targets.

The fastest configuration in the lineup is the MD-6 assault version, which can reach speeds of up to 38 knots (around 70 km/h). This dual-mode platform carries six FPV strike drones with an operational range of up to 15 km and is equipped with an integrated 300 kg warhead for terminal strikes.
