Russian strike damages one of General Cherry’s production facilities

One of the production facilities operated by Ukrainian defence tech company General Cherry was damaged in a Russian attack, the company’s founder, Yaroslav Hryshyn, has said. According to him, no employees were injured in the strike.

Hryshyn did not specify when the attack took place or which facility was targeted. The company is currently assessing the extent of the damage and determining the scope of recovery work required. He stressed that General Cherry continues to fulfil its commitments and maintain production despite the consequences of the attack.

The company’s founder added that General Cherry had prepared for such scenarios and that the strike would not halt its operations.

“On the contrary, we continue to work in turbojet mode, 24/7, to respond as quickly and as painfully as possible,” he said.

Russian forces regularly target Ukrainian defence enterprises in an attempt to disrupt the production of weapons and military equipment. On the night of 24 May, they struck the office of Ukrainian company L7 Simulators. Earlier, during the night of 13–14 May, a Russian attack destroyed the Kyiv office of UAV manufacturer Skyeton.
