From May 11 to 15, Defence Tech Bootcamp: Go Global will host a series of workshops. The bootcamp is designed for Ukrainian defence tech professionals and teams aiming to enter international markets, better understand European defence ecosystems, and build effective engagement with key stakeholders. Defender Media is the event’s media partner.

This is the fourth bootcamp organised by Calibrated, a communications agency specialising in the defence tech and cybersecurity industries. According to the organisers, as defence cooperation between Ukraine and Europe continues to deepen, new opportunities are emerging for Ukrainian defence tech companies — from manufacturing partnerships to integrating Ukrainian solutions into European defence supply chains and expanding into new markets.

The bootcamp team emphasises that scaling defence innovation requires more than just technology — it also demands an understanding of the market, decision-making dynamics, key stakeholders, and local context. That is why the fourth bootcamp, organised by Calibrated and Tech PR School with the support of Helsing, brings together experts from leading European defence tech ecosystems to share their experience and practical insights:

  • How defence ecosystems in different countries operate;
  • Which programs, initiatives, and cooperation formats are available to Ukrainian manufacturers;
  • Market entry points and engagement with key stakeholders;
  • Available funding and support instruments;
  • Key events, platforms, and professional communities.

Representatives from four European countries will take part in the workshop series. The defence tech ecosystem of Finland will be presented by Mikko-Pekka Hanski, co-founder of the investment company Double Tap Investments. Norway will be represented by two speakers:

  • Tevje Ravn Eggan, Cluster Manager, NORDSEC – Nordic Defence and Security Cluster
  • Sigbjørn Albertsen, Senior Adviser for Defense and Dual-Use, Norwegian Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (NUCC)

The workshop on the French ecosystem will be led by Laurent Macia, International and Innovation Manager at GICAT. Lithuania will be represented by Vidmantas Vaitulevičius, Industry Development Manager at Innovation Agency Lithuania. Yuliia Petryk, CEO and co-founder of Calibrated, will moderate the sessions with international speakers and also host her own workshop.

In addition, the bootcamp will feature a special session dedicated to preparing for participation in one of Europe’s largest defence exhibitions, Eurosatory 2026, which will take place on June 15–19 in Paris. Louis-Marie Le Béon of COGES EVENTS will explain how Ukrainian defence tech companies can turn participation into a strategic opportunity.

Who should join:

Founders and CEOs, partnership managers, business development professionals, as well as marketing, PR, and communications specialists working in the defence tech sector.
