TAF Industries to launch joint venture with Finland’s Summa Defence
Summa Defence has the Zeus FPV drone in its line-up, which it supplied to Ukraine in 2025

Ukrainian company TAF Industries is establishing a joint venture with Finland’s Summa Defence under the Build with Ukraine programme. The companies have already signed a memorandum of understanding; production will be based in Finland.
The company did not disclose which specific systems will be assembled at the Finnish facility, noting only that it will not be limited to a single product. TAF’s line-up includes FPV drones, fibre-optic FPV drones, repeaters, interceptor drones, and reconnaissance UAV. The company states that it is combining TAF’s operational experience and proven technologies with Summa’s manufacturing infrastructure and technology ecosystem in Finland.
Summa Defence is a Finnish defence group with a market capitalisation of €47.9 million. It produces military vessels and ground vehicles for repair operations, and also has the Zeus FPV drone in its line-up, which has been supplied to Ukraine. The first batch was delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in late 2025.
For TAF Industries, this is already the third joint venture announcement. The company has partnered with German THYRA, which specialises in counter-drone systems, with plans for serial production of interceptor drones.
Earlier still, TAF Industries and German company Wingcopter signed a memorandum of understanding. The parties did not disclose which specific systems would be produced, but stated that, in addition to existing systems, they plan to jointly develop and localise future UAVs for the European market and NATO.
