Ukrainian Armor’s UB60D FPV drone with Fourth Law guidance module passes codification
8-inch strike UAV is built around a 60mm fragmentation mortar round

Defender Media reported yesterday that Ukrainian Armor unveiled three new strike UAVs, including the UB60D FPV drone with a terminal guidance module, which was in the final stage of codification. As of today, the system has now been officially codified, with the guidance module confirmed as the TFL-1 developed by The Fourth Law. Here’s what is known about the UB60D and the cooperation behind it.
In a joint press release, The Fourth Law and Ukrainian Armor said the 8-inch UB60D FPV drone, equipped with the TFL-1 autonomous guidance system, successfully completed testing, demonstrating effectiveness in contested electronic warfare environments. Codification clears the way for scaled deliveries of the system to Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
The UB60D is built around a 60mm fragmentation mortar round, which serves as its default payload. Developers note that the design integrates the warhead and control system into a single unit, eliminating the need for additional pre-launch arming.
The integrated TFL-1 module enables automatic target acquisition and tracking. “This ensures precise engagement even in the event of full loss of operator control at the terminal stage,” the companies said.
The developers added that the UB60D with the TFL-1 module will soon be available via the DOT-Chain system, as well as on the Brave1 Market platform, with procurement possible through the e-Baly programme.
Fourth Law CEO Yaroslav Azhnyuk said autonomous FPV drones are becoming a viable alternative to fibre-optic systems. “Amid the current fibre supply constraints, more manufacturers and units are shifting to autonomous solutions, as they are cheaper, operate at longer ranges and are far less dependent on scarce components,” he said.
