Brave1 cluster tests new generation of Ukrainian bomber drones
Some of the tested products are ready for operation in complex conditions

The Brave1 state defence cluster has announced the testing of a new generation of bomber drones. The cluster states that they feature a greater range and payload capacity, secure communications, reduced visibility, and can be operated from safe positions.
18 manufacturers tested their products. These include:
- Small bombers capable of carrying several kilograms of payload. Their purpose is to engage infantry, minelaying, and light logistics.
- Heavy bombers with a payload of tens of kilograms. These are intended for logistics and engaging enemy heavy equipment and fortifications.

During the trials, each drone was required to cover 20 kilometres under electronic warfare conditions, hit a target, and return. As a result, some of the tested products are ready for operation in complex conditions. The next stage involves trials at combat positions and scaling of effective solutions.
Brave1 previously launched a competition for deftech manufacturers with a total first-round budget of €10 million. Companies from Ukraine and NATO countries are invited to join forces to develop a joint product.
