At the international defence exhibition IDEF 2025 in Istanbul, Ukrainian company RC Direction publicly unveiled the new version of its strike interceptor drone — the Interceptor 2.0 — for the first time, Army Recognition reports.

The UAV is designed for the rapid and autonomous elimination of enemy reconnaissance and attack drones. It combines high speed, precise targeting and resistance to electronic warfare, making it a promising tool for tactical air defence amid the growing role of drones in modern warfare.

According to the company, the drone is powered by a turbojet engine and can reach speeds of up to 320 km/h, with a cruising speed of 220 km/h. It is effective both day and night thanks to the ChaklunLRS system, which integrates automatic target detection and tracking. Upon identifying a target, the drone performs a precision strike with an accuracy of ±20–30 metres. If no targets are detected, it returns to base.

When paired with Rada-type radar, the Interceptor 2.0 can engage aerial targets at distances of up to 30 km. Its control and telemetry system maintains a connection at ranges of up to 75 km. The drone is catapult-launched, operates in winds of up to 12 m/s, and functions within a temperature range of –30°C to +40°C. The total weight of the platform is 10.4 kg, with a payload capacity of 1.6 kg.

It is also worth noting that the Odesa-based development team Tekhnari previously announced work on an interceptor drone designed to target Shahed-class UAVs.
