SkyFall unveils new P1-SUN JetKiller interceptor drone against jet-powered Shaheds

Ukrainian company SkyFall has unveiled its new high-speed P1-SUN JetKiller interceptor drone at the Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom. The system is designed to counter Russia’s jet-powered Shahed strike drones.

The P1-SUN JetKiller features a top speed of 370 km/h, an operational range of up to 30 km, and can operate at altitudes of up to 9,000 metres. It has an endurance of up to 15 minutes and carries a 500 g warhead. The new model is available in several configurations, featuring either a daylight or thermal imaging camera — in analogue or digital formats — alongside an artificial intelligence module for automated target detection and acquisition.

According to the company, the terminal guidance system based on artificial intelligence, developed by SkyFall’s R&D team, can detect and acquire enemy targets at ranges of up to 1 km. The AI module performs target detection, tracking, and lock-on.

Like previous versions, the interceptor is integrated with SkyFall’s remote control system, allowing the P1-SUN JetKiller to be operated from anywhere in the world. SkyFall also stated that it is developing a unified ecosystem in which its drones will be able to share data, independently detect, identify, and engage targets.

The P1-SUN JetKiller is currently completing combat trials and has already successfully engaged jet-powered Shaheds. At the same time, the SkyFall Academy has begun training pilots for the new high-speed interceptor.

Serial production of the new interceptor is scheduled to begin in August 2026. The company’s planned production capacity is up to 50,000 interceptors per month.
