Mara Drone has unveiled its new development – the Simar aerial photography UAV. It is currently being tested, and sales are expected to start in the second quarter of 2027. The manufacturer disclosed this to Defender Media at IRON HALLOWEEN PARTY 2026.

Simar will offer better specifications than the current flagship product, Mara-2M. Its mission range will be 250 km, and its tactical radius will be 90 km. The payload will be up to 5 kg, which will extend mission duration to 240 minutes.

Although Simar will initially serve as an aerial photography UAV, the company plans to add a reconnaissance drone role in 2027. This will make it possible to observe the ground in real time, whereas the aerial photography drone is designed to create detailed orthophoto maps of the terrain.

The planned price is not yet being disclosed because the cost of components may change. Meanwhile, Mara-2M, which is in serial production, costs UAH 530,000. This fotolit has a range of 180 km, 60 km of tactical depth and a flight time of up to 120 minutes.

The manufacturer says it receives most of its orders through the Ministry of Defence and works with more than 100 units. The product is available on Brave1 Market and DOT-Chain Defence.

Mara Drone components, which the company makes at its own production facility, will also soon appear on Brave1 Market. Other drone developers will be the main customers for them.
