Ukraine signs Drone Deal agreements with Denmark, Estonia and the Netherlands
On 7–8 July, Ankara, Turkey, is hosting the NATO Defence Industry Forum, to which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was invited. On the first day of the forum, he met Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal and signed a defence cooperation agreement between Ukraine and Estonia under the Drone Deal framework.
“We will develop joint military production in both countries, including critical air-defence capabilities,” Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president also signed a similar agreement with the Dutch prime minister. Zelensky also met representatives of Canada and Finland and announced plans to sign Drone Deals with both countries.
Later in the day, the Ukrainian president met Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, and the two leaders signed a Drone Deal.
“This brings the number of Drone Deals concluded by Ukraine to nine, including three signed today alone,” the official website of the President of Ukraine said. “Work with around 20 more countries is at various stages of negotiation.”
Operation Art-Auchan: how Lasar’s Group destroyed 230 Russian artillery pieces in two nights
In early June, the National Guard special unit Lasar’s Group, supported by the Ministry of Defence, carried out Operation Art-Auchan, a multi-wave operation targeting Russian artillery. It followed last year’s Operation Auchan, during which the unit destroyed 800 pieces of equipment.
Over two nights, Lasar’s Group crews deployed 800 platforms. The operation struck 231 enemy artillery pieces, 171 of which were destroyed. This amounts to between 10 and 14 artillery battalions, or roughly three brigades.
The unit said the operation was prepared in several stages. Lasar’s Group analysts, working with adjacent units, collected substantial intelligence, while engineers developed a munition designed to destroy howitzers. The unit conducted strikes in key combat areas along the entire front line.
Mykhailo Fedorov: Ukraine to test Saab radars for integration into domestically developed anti-ballistic missile
Ukraine plans to test radars made by Swedish company Saab for use in its anti-ballistic missile programme, Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said. According to Interfax-Ukraine, he made the announcement last week at a joint press conference in Kyiv with his Swedish counterpart, Pål Jonson.
The ministers also discussed the launch of Brave Sweden, modelled on Ukraine’s Brave1 cluster, as well as preparations for a Drone Deal.
Defender Media previously reported that Saab had become one of the first participants in the new Brave1 Prime initiative.
FP-1 deep-strike drones travel 3,400 km to hit Omsk Oil Refinery
Ukrainian long-range FP-1 drones made by Fire Point struck the Omsk Oil Refinery, Russia’s largest refinery. According to the Dnipro Osint Telegram channel, at least five hits were recorded on the ELOU-AVT-11 crude-oil processing unit.
“This will put 40–50% of the plant’s primary processing capacity out of action,” the OSINT analyst wrote.
The Omsk refinery is located 2,500 km from Ukraine’s state border. Fire Point’s main shareholder and chief designer, Denys Shtilerman, said in a post on X that the FP-1 drones travelled 3,400 km during the operation.
Fire Point’s deep-strike drones were able to cover this distance following an upgrade reported by Defender Media in the previous edition of Dorozvidka.
Magyar’s Birds target Russia’s shadow fleet with FP-2 mid-strike drones, Anubis and Behemoth
Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, said that pilots from the 414th Separate Brigade, known as Magyar’s Birds, struck eight enemy fuel tankers, one cargo vessel and one ferry in the Sea of Azov overnight on 7 July.
Telegram-based OSINT analysts identified Behemoth mid-strike drones made by GLEFA, Anubis drones by Airlogix and FP-2 drones by Fire Point among the systems used in attacks on the fleet and energy infrastructure in the occupied territories.
How Ukraine’s Lima electronic warfare system neutralised 61 Kinzhal missiles
The latest guests on Militarnyi’s video podcast were Maksym Skoretskyi, head of the Ground Forces’ electronic warfare directorate, and the commander of the Night Watch unit, callsign “Alchemist”.
They discussed how the Lima electronic warfare system works, what Lima Quant is, how cruise-missile suppression and reconnaissance are conducted, as well as cyberattacks and viruses affecting air-defence systems.
