Saber MK-19 combat module integrated onto Volya-E UGV

The Saber MK-19 remotely controlled combat module has been integrated onto the Volia-E logistics unmanned ground vehicle. The modified version successfully passed live-fire trials and an obstacle course, Roboneers, the developer of the combat module, told Defender Media.

Volia-E was developed by unnamed members of the Brave1 cluster, who presented the system in 2024. The platform was created for logistics and evacuation, and after the integration of the combat module, missions to engage enemy personnel and fortifications were added. Roboneers says the company plans to install other Saber turrets on the platform as well. The line-up includes variants with the Browning M2, Canik, PKT, M240, the AGL-53 grenade launcher and the MG-50 QCB machine gun.

The UGV uses Starlink and a backup system for communications, has a maximum speed of 12 km/h and a range of up to 22 km. The platform can be transported in the bed of an off-road vehicle, and it can carry a payload weighing up to 200 kg.

In early May, Roboneers also announced the integration of the Saber with the Vepryk UGV. It was upgraded at the request of one of the territorial defence brigades, which wanted to use the platform for assault operations. The developers modified the upper cover of the UGV’s hull and the camera arch to mount the turret.
