Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has opened a dedicated category for amphibious UGVs on Brave1 Market. These systems are designed to traverse water obstacles and difficult terrain, and can cross rivers, canals, and marshland.

The main purpose of the featured systems is to provide logistical support to units by delivering ammunition, water, food, and other supplies. Instead of having to find a crossing or switch vehicles, an operator can guide a system through the water and continue over land. However, water speed, operational range, and permissible operating conditions vary by model.

Defender Media examines the first four systems featured in the category.

Which systems are featured on Brave1 Market?

  • Triton

Triton is an amphibious unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) with an 8×8 wheel configuration, designed for logistical support. It can deliver ammunition, water, food, and other supplies to hard-to-reach areas.

Triton is equipped with an electric drive and a remote-control system. Front and rear cameras provide route monitoring. The system features a radio communications link and can also transmit video via cellular network connections. It is controlled using either a primary operator console or an infantry control unit.

In September, details emerged of a record-breaking logistics mission carried out by this UGV: the amphibious vehicle covered 40 km across land and water. The operation was conducted by troops from the Alter Ego unit of the 93rd Separate Mechanised Brigade. The UGV’s technical specifications have not been disclosed.

The price of Triton on Brave1 Market is UAH 1.3 million.

  • Toni

Ton” is an 8×8 wheeled amphibious UGV designed for logistics, casualty evacuation, and special tasks on land and water.

The system features an electric powertrain and a sealed hull rated IP67. On land, it moves on eight wheels; in water, propulsion is generated by wheel rotation. The manufacturer also offers the option of fitting an additional outboard waterjet propulsion unit.

Toni has a maximum speed of 13 km/h on land and 4 km/h in water. Its stated range is up to 50 km over land and up to 5 km on water. Its payload capacity is up to 400 kg on land and up to 300 kg in water.

The price of Toni on Brave1 Market is UAH 1.8 million.

  • BI34G

BI34G is a tracked UGV developed by Mavka Tech, powered by an electric drive and designed to operate on land and water. According to the manufacturer, the platform can cross water obstacles, including those with strong currents, and reach unprepared riverbanks.

The stated maximum speed of BI34G is 12 km/h on land and 7 km/h in water. Its range is up to 40 km on land and up to 10 km in water. Its payload capacity is up to 300 kg on both land and water.

A waterjet propulsion system provides water movement. The UGV features an electric drive and supports both remote operator control and autonomous navigation.

The price of the UGV on Brave1 Market is UAH 1.6 million.

  • UNEX

UNEX is an unmanned ground platform manufactured jointly in Ukraine and the Czech Republic, featuring an electric powertrain and an amphibious design.

Its stated payload capacity is up to 1,700 kg on land and up to 1,200 kg in water. Its maximum speed is 20 km/h on land and 5 km/h in water. Its operational range reaches 80 km over land and 15 km on water, while its operating time in autonomous mode is up to six hours, according to the manufacturer.

The platform can overcome obstacles up to one metre high and can transition seamlessly from land into water and return to shore without additional preparation. Its stated operating environments include marshland, snow, water obstacles, and other off-road terrain.

UNEX features a modular design. Depending on the mission requirements, the platform can be fitted with cargo modules, evacuation stretchers, engineering equipment, electronic warfare modules, counter-UAV systems, and other specialised payloads.

The stated price of UNEX on Brave1 Market is UAH 10 million.

Defender Media previously reported on the MAT1LDA amphibious platform by TENCORE, which was presented at an exhibition in the United States.
