Ukroboronprom reveals characteristics of Palyanytsia drone-missile
Palyanytsia can carry 100 kg of explosives over 650 km

At the MSPO international exhibition in Poland, Ukroboronprom presented an updated model of the Palyanytsia kamikaze drone and revealed its characteristics for the first time, Militarnyi reports.
The drone displayed at the Ukrainian stand has received an updated wing and tail design, as well as a more elongated fuselage. It measures 3.5 metres in length, has a wingspan of 1.7 metres and a total weight of 320 kilograms, of which 100 kilograms account for the warhead.
The declared flight range of Palyanytsia is up to 650 kilometres at a transonic speed of 900 km/h. The flight altitude can vary between 15 and 500 metres. These parameters are provided by a single-flow turbojet engine, while take-off is assisted by a solid-fuel rocket booster.
Navigation and final guidance are carried out using an inertial system resistant to electronic warfare, combined with satellite navigation to correct deviations. The developers present the drone as a tool for striking ground and surface stationary targets at tactical depth.
The first successful combat use of Palyanytsia was reported on 24 August 2024. Details of the operation were not disclosed at the time, but plans were announced to scale up production of the drone and reduce the cost of its design, which had previously been higher than that of its competitors.
