Defence procurement agency has expanded the list of goods that military units can purchase through the Prozorro Market electronic catalogue, according to a release from Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence.

The new categories include night-vision sights, electro-optical and radar systems for surveillance and countering unmanned aircraft, as well as batteries for UAVs.

“The Prozorro Market catalogue, administered by the Defence Procurement Agency, helps military personnel meet specific or urgent requirements. The platform allows them to purchase essential goods quickly, for example when something is in short supply and needs to be procured immediately. These purchases are made not with their own money but from decentralised budgets,” Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Mstyslav Banik said.

Prozorro Market already covers a broad range of goods for the military:

  • vehicles and equipment, including pick-up trucks, buggies and motorcycles;
  • equipment and components for UAVs;
  • clothing and equipment, ranging from body armour and camouflage suits to footwear and other items of personal kit.

The catalogue is available to all units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces that conduct procurement using decentralised budgets, as well as to other public-sector contracting authorities. During the catalogue’s nearly five months of operation on Prozorro Market, the military has ordered and received goods worth almost UAH 320 million.
