Vyriy Industries has ended its strategic partnership with the Blyskavka project. The company said in a press release that the strike UAV team has worked without Vyriy’s operational involvement since the start of 2026 and will now be independently responsible for developing, selling, and supporting the system.

The parties are not disclosing the commercial and legal terms of the agreements. However, Vyriy Industries CEO Oleksii Babenko hinted that the project will have a different investor. “Blyskavka remains needed at the front, and someone has been found who can only increase the financial support, while we are directing our resources to other tasks for the military,” he said.

Babenko added that Vyriy maintains good relations with the Blyskavka team. According to him, Vyriy joined the project at the time to help scale the product for the military’s needs. “We supported the project financially, helped set up serial production and shared our expertise,” he says.

From now on, Blyskavka will no longer be part of Vyriy’s product portfolio. The company will focus its engineering and production capacity on its own products and R&D.

What is known about Blyskavka

Blyskavka is a fixed-wing strike UAV with a warhead weighing up to 9 kg. It was developed by a team of engineers, veterans and serving personnel of the 8th Separate Special Operations Forces Regiment, based on a deeply redesigned captured Russian Molniya platform. Vyriy Industries showcased Blyskavka at Defence Tech Valley in September 2025, while the project became public in August 2025.

According to the project team, more than 150 units use Blyskavka. By number of successful strikes, it ranks among the top three fixed-wing strike UAVs.
