The Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation has delivered 45 Black Betty loitering munitions, 14 Shark-M systems, and nine RAM-2X loitering munition systems to the Defence Forces of Ukraine. The equipment was part of a batch of reconnaissance and strike assets worth UAH 69.8 million, received by seven units under the “Jaws” fundraising campaign.

Black Betty is a new project by Ukrspecsystems, described as a lower-cost modification of the RAM-2X. The munition’s technical specifications have not been disclosed. Black Betty was developed for mass combat deployment and precision strikes against enemy logistics, including moving targets.

“We are delivering Black Betty for the first time: it is a new strike capability in the hands of military units. Shark-M and RAM-2X have already demonstrated their effectiveness when used together,” said Bohdan Danyliv, Head of the Military Department at the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation.

The Shark-M and loitering munitions are designed to operate in tandem: the reconnaissance UAV detects the target, while the strike asset engages it. The Shark-M can remain airborne for up to seven hours, travel up to 180 km, and relay signals for operational-tactical-level kamikaze drones.

The equipment was distributed among the 429th Achilles Unmanned Systems Brigade, the 74th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion, the 65th Separate Mechanised Brigade, the Intelligence Control Centre, the 1st Separate Centre of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the 98th Special Operations Reconnaissance Centre, and units of the Security Service of Ukraine.
