Ukrainian company First Parsec is conducting flight trials of its new SUETA-1 drone, designed to simulate airborne targets for training interceptor drones. Defender Media learned this from the developer.

According to the company, preliminary cooperation agreements have already been reached to use the SUETA-1 with one of the projects training Ukrainian interceptor crews.

“The use of specialised decoy drones makes it possible to practise the detection, tracking, and interception of aerial targets without employing combat UAVs, reducing the cost of operator training and the testing of new interception systems,” a company representative said.

The SUETA-1 carries no warhead and serves as a reusable aerial target. The drone is powered by the SHOOM-20 engine and has a stated range of up to 240 km.

The estimated price of a single system upon entering the market is expected to be between UAH 250,000 and UAH 350,000.

Earlier, Defender Media reported on the successful testing of the SHOOM jet engine, whose development has progressed beyond the stage of short-duration test runs.
