This summer, Ukraine will begin exporting defence technologies to foreign markets. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his Telegram channel.

“We have launched the Build with Ukraine programme, and this summer we will sign the agreements to begin exporting our technologies abroad by opening production lines in European countries and possibly beyond – in those countries that support us, that fund drone production, and are starting to fund missile production in Ukraine,” he said.

According to the president, Ukrainian developers will provide technologies to other countries so that weapons can be produced on their territory “for us and them.” This includes various types of drones, missiles, and artillery. Zelenskyy noted that agreements with some countries are already in place.

The president added that $43 billion will be allocated to Ukraine’s defence industry this year. “Ukraine is part of Europe’s security, and we want partner countries to allocate 0.25% of their GDP next year to support our defence industry and domestic production,” he concluded.

In May, Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries Ganna Hvozdiar said the government plans to ease access for foreign capital into Ukraine’s defence tech sector and to simplify defence exports.
