The Ministry of Defence has codified the CRAB-LS ground robot. It is already being successfully used by the Da Vinci Wolves
CRAB-LS is a Ukrainian-made logistics robot. It helps to evacuate the wounded and deliver cargo

The Ministry of Defence has codified and approved the CRAB-LS ground robotic system for delivery, reports the ministry’s official website.
CRAB-LS is designed primarily to perform logistical tasks, such as delivering ammunition and other equipment to positions and evacuating the wounded. It can also be used to install combat modules and as a transporter in dangerous areas.
The complex has a silent, high-traction electric motor and all-terrain tyres that allow it to overcome sand mounds, marshy areas, shallow ditches and obstacles.
The ministry notes that CRAB-LS systems are already performing various tasks in the Defence Forces: they have evacuated dozens of wounded and delivered dozens of tonnes of cargo in the area of intense fighting, saving the lives of many soldiers. There is also an example of the platform being used as a kamikaze ground drone.
Defender Medioa has found several confirmations that the ground robot is already being used in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On 10 December, the Da Vinci Wolves reported on their experience of using CRAB-LS on the battalion’s Instagram account.
“This is a ground logistics drone that has saved many lives of our comrades and delivered hundreds of kilograms of various equipment to the positions”, reported the battalion.
The CRAB ground robotic system is one of the developments supported by the state cluster for supporting Defence Tech developments in Ukraine, Brave1. In March 2024, the project was tested and received certification of compliance with DSTU and codification according to NATO standards.
In addition to the CRAB-LS (Life Saver) logistics platform, the developers have a CRAB-M (Military) modification designed for reconnaissance and strike operations. The platform is equipped with a combat module that can be fitted with a PKT machine gun with a 650-round ammunition capacity and RPG-7 or RPV-16 grenade launchers. In addition, the platform can perform remote mining and demining.
The CRAB-M has a combat radius of 1.5 kilometres, a range of 25 kilometres and can operate continuously for 4 hours.
