The General Cherry Academy has joined the ‘Anti-Shahed Barrier’ project launched by Dignitas Fund. The academy signed a memorandum of cooperation as part of the initiative aimed at strengthening systemic countermeasures against Russian Shahed-type strike drones.

‘Anti-Shahed Barrier’ takes a comprehensive approach to countering enemy UAVs, including training professional air defence crews, teaching service members to effectively detect and destroy drones, and equipping units with the necessary technical tools.

Under the partnership, the General Cherry Academy will be responsible for training personnel to operate the company’s interceptor drones — General Cherry Bullet and General Cherry AIR Speed.

The Ukrainian defence tech company General Cherry announced the launch of its own pilot training programme for interceptor drones in October 2025. The academy focuses on piloting skills and operational support for units that counter enemy UAVs.

The academy’s format includes mobile training teams that deploy to brigades for hands-on interceptor training, demonstrations, and support sessions.
