Ukrainian TAF Industries and German Wingcopter establish joint venture to manufacture UAVs
The manufacturers plan to jointly develop and localise future UAVs for the European market and NATO

Ukrainian deftech company TAF Industries and German drone manufacturer Wingcopter have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a joint venture. Production will be launched in Germany. The companies shared the details with Defender Media.
As part of the joint venture, TAF Industries will share its licensed designs and manufacturing experience. Wingcopter will provide industrial infrastructure, expertise, and engineering capabilities for rapid scaling in Germany. In addition to existing systems, the manufacturers plan to jointly develop and localise future UAVs for the European market and NATO.
“For TAF Industries, scaling the production of systems already saving lives on the frontline is a top priority. We are ready to share our unique combat-driven experience with our partners to strengthen collective resilience and build a stronger defence ecosystem together,” explains TAF Industries CEO Volodymyr Zinovskyi.
The joint venture will be located in Germany. In this way, the Ukrainian developer aims to reduce industrial risks and diversify production. The partnership was formed as part of the Build with Ukraine programme.
TAF Industries is one of Ukraine’s leading defence technology companies, producing 80,000 FPV drones per month and developing reconnaissance UAVs, electronic warfare systems and AI-based technologies. In total, it manufactures over 30 types of defence products.
German company Wingcopter develops, manufactures, sells, and operates fully electric UAVs. A team of 150 people developed the Wingcopter 198, a drone for logistics and reconnaissance that can take off and land vertically, powered by eight propellers.
