Ukraine tests a fixed-winged interceptor drone DELETEr with vertical take-off and a parachute
The interceptor has passed field trials and costs about UAH 96,000

The Ukrainian interceptor drone DELETEr, featuring vertical take-off and a return-and-landing system, is preparing for trials in a combat zone. Defender Media learned this from the developers.
Although DELETEr is a fixed-wing aircraft-type drone, it uses an electric VTOL engine for vertical take-off and landing. A distinctive feature of the system is its automatic return and parachute landing function if an interception does not take place. Navigation is based on beacons.
The drone has a cruising speed of 170 km/h and a maximum speed of up to 260–270 km/h, a tactical operating radius of 30 km, and can remain airborne for up to 30 minutes. According to the manufacturer, it can climb to an altitude of 4,000 m and withstand winds of up to 25 m/s.
DELETEr has a take-off weight of about 4.3 kg and a payload capacity of up to 1.2 kg, of which the warhead accounts for around 700 g. The drone is equipped with a low-light camera, with the option of installing two cameras — a daytime and a thermal one.
The drone has passed the manufacturer’s field trials and has been handed over for testing on the line of contact. The estimated cost of the interceptor is UAH 96,000, and it is available for order via the state marketplace Brave1.
Earlier, Defender Media reported on the JEDI Shahed Hunter interceptor, which can reach speeds of up to 350 km/h.
