Units of the National Guard of Ukraine can now procure defence-related goods via the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace. The Ukrainian government has approved a resolution to launch this experimental project, Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal announced.

National Guard units will now be able to order and quickly receive drones, UGVs, EW equipment and components through the marketplace.

Before this decision, 130 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had access to DOT-Chain Defence, while only 12 brigades took part in the pilot phase that lasted until October. According to Shmyhal, the marketplace has proven highly effective in supplying the Armed Forces: “The logistics cycle for unit supply has been radically reduced – from months to weeks and even days,” he noted.

The National Guard of Ukraine, which is part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is subordinated to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces during martial law. As of 2024, it numbered around 90,000 service members, including the Khartiia and Azov corps.

Earlier in October, Defender Media reported that within the next six months, the Defence Procurement Agency plans to move up to 70% of all state drone purchases to the DOT-Chain Defence platform.
