An unmanned ground systems company of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade evacuated a wounded soldier using the Frodo UGV from Frontline Robotics. The company told Defender Media that this was the first successful evacuation mission for the drone, unveiled a week ago.

For this operation, the military used one of the first versions of the UGV. The head of the company’s workshop, callsign “Viter” (Wind), said that during the mission they encountered shortcomings, which the manufacturer later eliminated.

At the same time, he praised the performance of the suspension, which smooths out road irregularities. The UGV has a six-wheeled chassis with an adaptive independent suspension, which, according to the manufacturer, is designed to ensure smooth movement over difficult terrain and off-road.

According to Frontline Robotics, the Frodo has a maximum speed of up to 40 km/h, an effective payload capacity of up to 200 kg and a maximum payload capacity of up to 400 kg.

In addition to evacuation and logistics missions, the UGV is also suitable for strike operations. In particular, the platform supports the integration of weapon modules for an automatic grenade launcher and a heavy machine gun.
