Buntar Aerospace raises $16M to scale up and enter foreign markets
The company plans to scale up rapidly and enter foreign markets with dual-use solutions

Ukrainian developer of reconnaissance drones and software Buntar Aerospace has raised $16 million in investment. The company announced the deal in a press release.
Freedom Fund and an undisclosed international private equity fund led the round. Venture capital funds Gardar, Iron Wolf and Autonomy Capital also participated. Total investment in Buntar has reached $30 million.
The company said it will use the investment to accelerate product development, expand production capacity, and strengthen its team with experienced engineers and managers. Buntar Aerospace will also continue developing its AI-powered Buntar Copilot software, which helps drone operators make decisions in combat.
The startup also plans to enter foreign markets with dual-use solutions. “What we develop for the frontline sooner or later finds applications in civilian life, so we also plan to develop this area,” said Buntar co-founder Bohdan Sas.

Buntar Aerospace was founded in August 2023 by Ivan Kaunov, Bohdan Sas and Kateryna Bezsudna. The startup develops and manufactures reconnaissance drones and related software. Its flagship product is the Buntar-3 reconnaissance drone.
In March 2026, the company raised $10 million from US-based Axon, Norwegian investment consortium Munkene AS and undisclosed private investors.
