Rise Technologies’ PALYCH shifts standard UAV communications to alternative frequencies for EW resilience

Rise Technologies Ukraine has developed the PALYCH digital communications suite for UAVs. The platform moves standard communications links from the 2.4 GHz band to alternative frequencies that can shift dynamically to adapt to changing electronic warfare environments, the company said.
The PALYCH communications system is engineered for operation in contested EW environments and heavily congested spectrum conditions. According to the developer, the system maintains command-and-control (C2) and video telemetry links when standard channels encounter severe radio frequency interference, a capability verified during field operations.
The suite comprises an onboard module with an integrated antenna array and a ground control station. The antenna unit can be remoted more than 20 meters from the operator’s controller. Field tests show the PALYCH radio link reaches 68 km, with the tactical operating radius defined by the specific UAV platform.
PALYCH is adaptable for integration onto various uncrewed aircraft, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms such as the DJI Mavic and Autel series. The manufacturer has already retrofitted more than 3,000 commercial UAVs.
