Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has received more than 650 applications to register on the TrophyLab platform for studying captured weapons. Of these, 389 were submitted by foreign manufacturers of weapons and military equipment, the ministry reported.

Ukrainian defence manufacturers, military units and government institutions can also register on the platform.

What data TrophyLab contains

TrophyLab contains research findings on captured Russian weapons for engineers, researchers and defence tech manufacturers from Ukraine and partner countries.

The database is supplied by:

  • units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine;
  • the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine;
  • the Security Service of Ukraine;
  • specialised research institutions.

After successful registration, users gain access to a catalogue of Russian weapons and research findings. The information can be studied online.

Registered researchers can also request a weapon sample or fragment for independent offline analysis.

How to gain access

To register, users must visit the TrophyLab portal, complete the form and submit an application.

The Defence Ministry checks applicants for:

  • links to Russia;
  • inclusion on Ukrainian or international sanctions lists;
  • compliance with other mandatory platform criteria.

The Defence Ministry expects that sharing information on Russian weapons will help Ukraine’s Defence Forces develop countermeasures more quickly and strengthen the defence capabilities of partner countries.

In June 2026, Ukraine’s Defence Ministry announced the launch of TrophyLab, a single centre for studying captured Russian equipment. The platform brings together researchers and engineers from Ukraine and partner countries to develop solutions to counter Russian products.
