SkyFall and Canadian Calian announce strategic partnership to train drone operators

Ukrainian SkyFall and Canadian Calian Group have announced a strategic partnership. They will jointly develop and implement unmanned systems training programmes for the armed forces of NATO member states and allies.

The press release says the partnership will combine the SkyFall Academy training centre with the Canadian company’s capabilities.

The Ukrainian manufacturer will provide its technological and training capabilities, while Calian will apply its experience in developing, integrating and implementing international military training programmes within NATO. In particular, the companies plan to train military personnel from Canada and the United Kingdom.

Over the past three years, the SkyFall academy has trained more than 30,000 Ukrainian service members. Calian has trained more than 300,000 soldiers from NATO countries and allied states over the past 40 years.

In addition to training, the Canadian company is engaged in cybersecurity, defence and satellite manufacturing, healthcare solutions and more.

‘For Ukraine, this partnership expands access to NATO-aligned training standards and allied infrastructure, and supports the deeper integration of Ukrainian technological and training capabilities into the global defence ecosystem’, said Mykola Makovieiev, SkyFall director.

Defender recently reported that the Ukrainian manufacturer has been included in the list of winners of the second phase of the American Drone Dominance programme. SkyFall’s drone took fourth place in the Deep Strike category.
