In the first year of operation for the DOT-Chain Defence digital marketplace, the Defence Procurement Agency supplied the Defence Forces with over 1.2 million drones and equipment items worth nearly UAH 70 billion in total.

The platform’s pilot launch for 12 units took place in July 2025. By July 2026, according to the Ministry of Defence, products held in vendor inventory reached units within an average of seven days. In certain cases, ordered equipment was delivered within a single day.

Weapons and military gear are directly procured through the platform by 48 combat units across the Defence Forces. The procurement catalog features over 1,100 items from more than 300 manufacturers. Available products encompass FPV drones, fiber-optic UAVs, bombers, counter-UAS interceptors, fixed-wing platforms, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), electronic warfare (EW) systems, and specialized munitions for unmanned architectures.

For manufacturers, the platform serves as a direct procurement link with frontline forces. In particular, DevDroid notes that operating through DOT-Chain Defence provides real-time visibility into unit demand, enables direct operational feedback, and allows rapid adaptation of systems to frontline needs.

Among the key suppliers delivering platforms via the marketplace is TAF Industries. Over the course of the year, the Defence Forces received 114,500 items from the vendor through DOT-Chain Defence. In one instance, fulfillment from order placement to unit delivery took under 24 hours.

The operational model of DOT-Chain Defence is currently being evaluated by the United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. Meanwhile, NATO, France, and the United States have announced plans to develop similar digital platforms for procuring unmanned systems.
