Stetman CEO Dmytro Stetsenko has passed away. Kateryna Diachenko has taken over the company

On 14 July, Ukrainian company Stetman announced the appointment of Kateryna Diachenko as its new CEO. The company manufactures UASAT satellite communication terminals, supplies Starlink systems to the Ukrainian government and is preparing to launch its own satellite constellation.

Diachenko succeeds Dmytro Stetsenko, who had led the company for a long time before passing away last month. Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Fediienko previously said Stetsenko died of heart-related complications.

Stetman’s statement says that the company has maintained operational stability and continues developing new UASAT products and satellite communication solutions. Diachenko has already met with a representative of the Danish company GomSpace to confirm business continuity and joint plans for the future.

It is with GomSpace that the company plans to launch joint satellite production in Ukraine. The Danes’ role in it is satellite engineering, technology and manufacturing expertise, Dmytro Stetsenko had explained earlier. The factory is planned to be fully launched next year. The estimated investment amount is several hundred million euros.

Starting in 2027, Stetman plans to deploy its own satellite constellation at an altitude of around 550 km. A test satellite is due to be sent into space in October 2026.

Full deployment of the constellation will take three years, with a total size of 360 satellites. The network is to provide communications for critical state infrastructure.
